Day 02 :Tea Tasting & Estate Walk
Morning visit to a local tea factory for a tasting session, followed by a guided walk through the tea fields.
Afternoon at leisure; optional excursion to Mount Mulanje (weather and road conditions permitting).
Day 03 : Thyolo → Liwonde National Park
Depart after breakfast for a roughly three‐hour drive to Liwonde National Park on the Upper Shire River.
En route, stop at local markets and villages, including the Zomba area.
Afternoon boat ride on the Shire River to view hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and buffalo—excellent bird‐watching opportunities.
Day 04 : Liwonde National Park (Game Viewing)
Daytime game viewing by boat and on land, with opportunities to spot elephant, sable antelope, warthog, impala, kudu, waterbuck, buffalo, and a variety of bird species.
Optional guided walk to search for black rhinos (extra cost) or substitute with a walking safari, bicycle ride, or canoe trip since Liwonde has no lions.
Day 05 : Liwonde National Park (Continued)
Another full day of game viewing by boat and land; the river ecosystem remains the highlight.
Optional activities same as Day 4 (walking safari, canoeing, etc.).
Day 06 : Liwonde → Lake Malawi
After breakfast, drive approximately three and a half hours to the Lake Malawi lakeshore.
Board a local boat mid‐morning to cross to an island lodge in the lake’s clear waters.
Afternoon at leisure on the lake shore or exploring nearby beaches.
Day 07- 09 : Lake Malawi Leisure
Three full days at Lake Malawi: swimming, snorkelling among colorful freshwater fish, canoeing, sailing, and bird watching along the shoreline.
Day 10 : Departure
After breakfast, drive about four hours north to Lilongwe Airport for your flight home.
