Depart Asunción in the morning and head west into the Gran Chaco region. Cross bridges linking eastern and western Paraguay.
Arrive in Filadelfia (Mennonite community). Afternoon visit to the local museum showcasing Mennonite history and creamery operations. Overnight in Filadelfia.
Day 04 : Filadelfia (Salt Lakes & Ranch Life)
Morning visit to nearby salt lakes and a Mennonite cattle-breeding station.
Afternoon at a ranch where you can try traditional gaucho activities—milking cows or throwing a lasso. Return to Filadelfia. Overnight in Filadelfia.
Day 05 : Filadelfia → Concepción
After breakfast, explore Boquerón battlefields (site of Chaco War), then drive north to Concepción with nature stops along the way. Evening free to explore local cafes or historic buildings. Overnight in Concepción.
Day 06 : Concepción (River Excursion)
Morning boat ride on a tributary of the Paraguay River. Watch for wildlife: caimans, capybaras, or nandus. Learn how to fish for piranhas with a local guide. Evening fish-dinner using today’s catch (optional). Overnight in Concepción.
Day 07 : Concepción → Ciudad del Este → Foz do Iguaçu
Depart Concepción after breakfast. Visit a traditional cigar workshop to see hand-rolled cigars. Continue to Ciudad del Este (border town). Cross the Friendship Bridge into Foz do Iguaçu (Brazil). Overnight in Foz do Iguaçu area.
Day 08 : Foz do Iguaçu (Iguazú Falls)
Full day exploring Iguazú Falls on the Brazilian side: walk along observation platforms to see the immense waterfall system (275 cascades, up to 90 m high). Optional boat safari beneath lower falls.
Late afternoon at leisure. Overnight in Foz do Iguaçu area.
Day 09 : Foz do Iguaçu → Ciudad del Este → Ruins → Bella Vista
Cross back into Paraguay to visit Itaipú Hydroelectric Dam (one of the largest in the world) and tour Tati Yupi National Park (Guaraní museum).
Continue south to the Jesuit Ruins of Trinidad and Jesús (18th century), exploring the history of Guaraní mission life.
Evening transfer to a nearby town. Overnight in the region.
Day 10 : Bella Vista → Asunción
Depart after breakfast to visit a yerba mate factory in Obligado (learn about mate production).
Travel to San Ignacio to see the local Jesuit museum. Stop in Yaguarón to revisit the oldest church. Arrive in Asunción by late afternoon. Overnight in Asunción.
Day 11 : Asunción (Departure)
After breakfast, transfer to Asunción airport for your flight home.
